Interested in UMF Release Cert Search Functionality for Your Website?

A couple of members have approached us, interested in putting the UMF release cert search function on their website.  https://www.umf.org.nz/manuka-honey-certification-search/

We want your feedback to establish whether more license holders are interested in this functionality.  

This would enable them to increase product traceability and awareness and education around the UMF system, further growing the importance of UMF worldwide.

Please comment 'Yes' if this forum is of interest and 'No' if it is not.  We would also appreciate a comment about why you are/are not interested.  

Proposed Cert Search Tool For Licenseholders   

• The widget will only enable visibility of the license holder's own brands and products.
• An embeddable search widget that the license holder can copy and paste the code for onto their website. This requires very little technical capability for the member brand (but it does mean that it's not an API integration that would give them full customisation).
• The widget would be designed to be powered by a Javascript embed - this means it would come bundled with styling that would make it "look" like part of the UMF brand (perhaps slightly more neutral though so it's not jarring / competing with their website brand). If a member has website developers on-hand, they could customise some of this to match the fonts/colour scheme of their brand as appropriate.
• The widget will have admin controls to allow UMF to authorise a particular licence holder, their domain and its brand(s) to be shown on a given widget. This would allow you to scope the widget to only show batch numbers for one or more brands (e.g. for example, a member might have 3 different brands and wants the widget to be limited to each brand separately - this would be possible).
• The certificate would be rendered in a new tab/popup/button (e.g. "click to view certificate") that potentially renders outside of the member's website so that it retains brand-UMF styling.
