Product Testing for Naturalness
Ensuring natural and unadulterated honey
The UMFHA has invested considerable sums into researching methods of detecting adulterated honey. This includes the addition of DHA or MG, or any artificial addition of the production of the honey that unnaturally increases this special level of antibacterial activity.
The Association is strongly committed to the principles of 100% natural New Zealand and the definition of honey within Codex Alimentarius, that being derived wholly from the nectar of flowers.
